What is the best humidity and temperature of lash extension?
The most thing that we must to know that the humidity plays an important role during lash grafting. First, it controls how fast the eyelash glue cures. Additionally, maintaining humidity in the ideal range (45-60%) reduces the potential for irritation and other adverse reactions during and after lash application. The controlled environment ensures optimum adhesion performance, increasing the strength and longevity of lash extensions.
The main ingredient in all eyelash adhesives is cyanoacrylate, which cures in the presence of moisture, especially hydrogen. This ingredient ensures that the lash glue dries quickly and strengthens the bond between the natural lashes and the extension cord, keeping the extension cord for weeks.
In addition to humidity, room temperature also affects cure time. Eyelash glue is liquid and temperature affects its viscosity. So when the temperature drops, just like any other liquid, eyelash glue tends to solidify. Frozen adhesives tend to be less viscous, making them harder and taking more time to dry.
Conversely, eyelash adhesives tend to liquefy when the temperature rises. Since the melted eyelash glue is more viscous than normal, it dries faster than usual. To avoid any unpleasant surprises, it is important to keep the room temperature at 22-26 °C / 71-79 °F.

What happens if the humidity is too low?
If the humidity of the room is lower than ideal, the cyanoacrylate in eyelash glue will take a while to cure because it needs moisture from the air to adhere to natural eyelashes. An environment that lacks moisture in the air will not activate the curing process, keeping the eyelash glue moist.
Your adhesive releases particles in the form of smoke. Since these particles are attracted to moisture, if the humidity is too low (below 45 %), they will travel towards the mucous membranes in your eyes, nose and mouth to find moisture to bind with. Sensitivity of the mucous membranes may trigger adverse reactions such as tearing, burning, warmth, pain, redness of the eyes, and puffy eyelids, unless another moist place is provided for these adhesive particles. Keep in mind that you may also be at risk of adverse reactions from lingering fumes from your lashing workstation.
Since the adhesive takes longer to cure in low humidity environments, adjacent eyelashes may end up sticking to each other during the attachment process. Even if you insulate your lashes perfectly, if the lash glue doesn’t dry properly before loosening the surrounding lashes, the wet glue can clump together. This frustrating stickiness can permanently lose your client’s natural lashes, so be careful.

How can you adjust the low humidity ?

- Diffuser – By using a diffuser, you can increase humidity by spraying water into your strapping chamber. To add a fresh scent to your salon, don’t forget to add essential oils.

What happens if the humidity is too high?
High humidity environments are more difficult to manage than low humidity environments. High humidity plays a vital role in changing the drying rate, which will allow the lash adhesive to cure and dry much faster than usual. If the humidity in the binding space is higher than ideal (above 60%), too much moisture in the air can make the cyanoacrylate in the glue overactive.
In an ideal humidity environment (45-60%), a drop of glue on the lash tile will keep it fresh for about 20-30 minutes. However, when the humidity is higher, the glue drop will start to harden more quickly, allowing it to partially cure before it can be applied. Using this semi-dry glue will allow you to adhere lash extensions to your natural lashes, but most likely, they may fall off prematurely during the grooming process or between lash extensions refills. If the humidity in the binding area is very high (over 70%), the cyanoacrylate in the eyelash adhesive stops working, resulting in poor adhesion.
Due to the faster drying time, the adhesive may not wrap the natural lashes properly. Instead, they cure in place, resulting in a rough or rough appearance rather than a flawless attachment. The overall appearance may be visually unappealing, and the resulting gaps between the adhesive beads can weaken eyelash adhesion.
How can you adjust the high humidity ?
Dehumidifier: A dehumidifier works like an air conditioner. The fan in a dehumidifier draws warm, moist air into it, drawing excess moisture from the air and restoring the room’s ideal humidity.
Air Conditioning – To combat high humidity, generally, the temperature needs to be very low. This contrast brings more balance and creates a favorable environment for easier work. If you cannot reduce the humidity to the ideal 45-60% level, choose an adhesive with a slower drying time. High humidity may speed up the glue drying process; it dries 1-2 times faster than normal. Therefore, choosing a slower drying glue will give you the right amount of time to make the attachment.
